A crypto trading journal that syncs spot and perps
Live sync from Binance, Bybit, and connectors for 11 other major exchanges. Read-only API keys. Standard analytics that work the same for spot trades and perpetual futures. 14-day Pro trial, cancel anytime.
Most crypto journals were built for spot trading on three exchanges. Most crypto traders now run a mix of spot on one exchange and perps on another, sometimes spread across half a dozen platforms. The journals never caught up. People end up using a Notion template or building a Google Sheet that breaks every time they switch exchanges.
This one connects directly to Binance and Bybit for live sync, with additional connector support for BingX, Bitget, Blofin, Coinbase, Gate.io, Hyperliquid, Kraken, KuCoin, MEXC, OKX, and WeeX in the codebase. Both spot and perpetual futures flow into the same journal, tagged correctly so analytics distinguish them.
The 14-day Pro trial includes unlimited crypto connections. Standard ($30/mo) covers 2 live exchange connections, which is enough if you trade Binance and Bybit only.
What the journal does on crypto
- Live sync from Binance and Bybit (spot and perp).
- Multi-exchange connectors for BingX, Bitget, Blofin, Coinbase, Gate.io, Hyperliquid, Kraken, KuCoin, MEXC, OKX, and WeeX.
- Read-only API keys. We cannot place trades or move funds.
- Standard analytics on crypto: R-multiple, expectancy, win rate, equity curve, session breakdowns, time-of-day analysis.
- Hyperliquid native connector for on-chain perp trading.
- On-chain spot holdings tracking at the wallet level.
- Manual trade entry for DEX trades or exchanges without a connector.
- CSV import as a fallback for any exchange.
Setup: read-only API keys only
When you generate an API key at Binance or Bybit, you tick read permission only and skip the trade and withdrawal permissions. Paste the public key and secret into the journal, and the sync starts within a minute. We never get a key that could place trades or move funds.
What the journal does not do (yet)
A few features that crypto traders sometimes ask for are not built in the journal today. Worth flagging so you can decide if they matter for your workflow:
- Funding rate tracking per position. Funding payments paid or received are not currently broken out per-trade in the dashboard. You can see net P&L including funding from the exchange but not a separate funding-rate-only view.
- Liquidation-distance tracking over time. The journal records your entry, exit, and current position but does not graph how close you got to liquidation throughout the trade.
- Cross-asset correlation analytics. If you want to see whether your BTC, ETH, and SOL positions are actually one correlated bet, you need to eyeball the equity curves rather than read a correlation report.
- Multi-exchange consolidated balance. Per-exchange balance and equity are tracked, but a single consolidated portfolio view across exchanges is partial. Per account it works.
These are on the roadmap. If they are deal-breakers, a dedicated crypto-only journal like Coinmarketman covers some of them today.
Standard vs Pro for crypto traders
| Crypto capability | Standard ($30/mo) | Pro ($55/mo) |
|---|---|---|
| Live exchange connections | 2 | Unlimited |
| Spot trade sync | Yes | Yes |
| Perp and futures sync | Yes | Yes |
| Standard analytics on crypto | Yes | Yes |
| Multi-account dashboard | No | Yes |
| AI Coach on crypto trades | No | Yes |
If you only trade Binance and Bybit, Standard is enough. If you trade across 3+ exchanges (KuCoin for alts, Bybit for perps, Binance for spot), Pro removes the connection cap.
Crypto journaling options compared
| Approach | TraderDNA | Coinmarketman | Tradervue | Spreadsheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Binance live sync | Yes | Yes | No | No |
| Bybit live sync | Yes | Yes | No | No |
| Multi-exchange connectors | 13 in codebase | Many | No | No |
| Standard analytics on perps | Yes | Yes | Limited | Manual |
| Funding rate dashboards | No (yet) | Yes | No | Manual |
| Free trial length | 14 days | 7 days | Limited | N/A |
| Multi-asset (forex + crypto) | Yes | No (crypto only) | Yes | Manual |
The multi-asset angle matters if you trade XAUUSD or NAS100 in your morning session and BTC perps at night. Crypto-only journals make you keep a separate workflow for everything else.
